An Edinburg man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman and attacking a deputy. Twenty-one-year-old Bryan Vega was arrested Thursday in the 44-hundred block of Energy Avenue.

The sheriff’s office says Vega tried to resist arrest and wound up biting a deputy’s finger. He was taken into custody after deputies used a stun gun. He’s been charged with assault on a pregnant person, aggravated assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest. His bond was set at 90-thousand dollars.
