An Edinburg man is pleading not guilty to charges connected to the April death of his father.

Francisco Coronado Junior was arrested in April after he allegedly assaulted his 86-year-old father. The elderly man died from his injuries about a week after he was hospitalized.

Coronado pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges on Monday. He remains in custody on a one-million-dollar bond.
