Mayor Omar Ochoa says Edinburg continues to be the fastest-growing city in the Rio Grande Valley.
Ochoa praised that achievement Thursday night during his first State of the City address at the Edinburg Arts, Culture and Events Center. Ochoa said a thousand new jobs and 32 new subdivisions were created last year.
The mayor talked about the city’s four-year, 275-million-dollar capital improvement plan, saying the city will invest money in major upgrades while keeping property taxes at their lowest level since 1991.
