El Paso Mayor: Big Box Store Shopping Contributed To Coronavirus Spike


The mayor of El Paso says businesses that have been deemed essential are actually leading to more coronavirus infections. Dee Margo told CBS’s Face The Nation that contact tracing this month indicates 55-percent of the positives came from shopping at big box retailers.

El Paso has been one of the hardest-hit cities this fall. The death toll in the west Texas city is over 900, and mobile morgues have been brought in to deal with the outbreak.
