Explosion At Ammo Facility Kills Employee

Officials are identifying an employee killed on Wednesday morning when a fuel tank exploded at an ammunition facility at Camp Stanley. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office says the man was Andrew Libby of Boerne, though his cause and manner of death haven’t been released.

A spokesperson for the US Army Joint Munitions Command says a fuel tank exploded around 10 a.m. and injured Libby, who later died at a hospital. It’s not clear whether Libby was a civilian or a military member.
