The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of a power outage at Hobby Airport’s air traffic control tower on Sunday afternoon.

The outage happened around 1:15 p.m., resulting in delays of up to half an hour for incoming flights. Backup generators kept things going until the power was restored by 2:15 p.m. Inbound flights that had been in a holding pattern were able to land at that time.
