Flights to and from El Paso, Texas have resumed just hours after the FAA announced a ten day airspace closure.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the FAA and Department of War “acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion.” He added the threat was neutralized and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region.

The closure included all flights including commercial, cargo and “general aviation” to and from El Paso International Airport.Airspace restrictions had also been put in place for the neighboring community of Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
