El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar says the decision to reopen the border is long overdue. This comes after the US government announced it’s reopening the border by relaxing pandemic restrictions beginning next month.

Families on both sides of the border who have been separated during the pandemic say they’re excited to be able to rejoin loved ones again. All travelers must provide proof of vaccination. The exact date for the reopening next month has not been announced.
