The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating a fatal plane crash in Southeast Texas.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded around 3 p.m. to the crash site near Knight Lake, just west of Sabine Pass. The 1993 Beechcraft A36 Bonanza took off about 2 p.m. from Jennings, Louisiana, and crashed on its way to Galveston Scholes International Airport. One person was reportedly killed. His name hasn’t been released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
