Fauci Says Treatments, Vaccine Less Effective Against South African COVID Strain

Infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci says coronavirus treatments and the vaccine are less effective against the South African COVID strain. He told FOX News the vaccine’s capabilities are diminished somewhat, but it does still offer some protection.

He says we need to be ready for the arrival of the South African strain and prepare for it to mutate even more. He says the vaccine can be upgraded to protect against new strains.
