A federal appeals court will hear arguments next month on the constitutionality of a Texas law requiring schools to display posters of the Ten Commandments. Two federal district judges have ruled that the law violates the Constitution, blocking more than two dozen Texas school districts from complying with the law.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on January 20th will hear both the Texas case and a challenge to a similar law in Louisiana. The cases have the potential to make it to the US Supreme Court.
