Federal Data: Nearly 60% Of U.S. Counties Have High Community Spread


New federal data says nearly 60-percent of U.S. counties are reporting high community spread of the coronavirus. It’s particularly bad in the South. Louisiana leads the way with more than 600 new infections for every 100-thousand individuals living in the state.

Florida, Arkansas, and Mississippi are right behind their Southern neighbor. It comes as the Delta variant sweeps across the country.
