The Federal Emergency Management Agency is opening several disaster recovery centers in the Rio Grande Valley.
The decision comes after President Trump signed a disaster declaration offering federal assistance for damage caused by severe storms and flooding in late March. Hidalgo County’s center will be located at the Weslaco Economic Development Corporation office on South Kansas Avenue.
