FEMA Will Pay For Funerals Of Texans Who Died Of Coronavirus


FEMA is accepting applications to help the families of Texans who have died of the coronavirus to pay for their funerals. Democratic U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar of Laredo says the funeral assistance program is part of the American Rescue Plan.

Texans are eligible for aid if they paid funeral expenses after January 20th, 2020, for someone who definitely or probably died of the virus. Up to nine-thousand-dollars per funeral is available. FEMA will need info such as Social Security numbers, ages, dates, and addresses.
