A lot of people like to welcome in the New Year with a bang. But being safe is important when playing with fireworks at any time of year.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission says eleven people were killed by fireworks last year. More than 14-thousand were hurt, with burns making up nearly 40 percent of those injuries.
