Former Cameron County Official Pleads Guilty To Bribery Charge


A man who worked for Cameron County may be heading to federal prison following his guilty plea on a bribery charge.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas says Arnoldo Flores, Junior, of Mission admitted to using inside information to help someone else get county contracts in exchange for money. At the time, Flores was director of Human Resources and Civil Service for the county. He faces up to five years in prison when he is sentenced on June 15th.
