Police are investigating the deaths of a former McKinney city manager and his wife, whose son is hospitalized after being shot by officers.
McKinney police responded around 10 a.m. Sunday to a welfare check at a home on Dunster Drive. They found the bodies of Leonard and Jackie Ragan in the living room. Leonard Ragan was McKinney’s city manager from 2008 to 2010.
Their adult son Bryce Ragan reportedly had a gun and refused to put it down. Police shot him, and he was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.
