A former Pemex employee is pleading guilty to money laundering. Federal officials say Mexican national Victor Montelongo Garcia admitted Wednesday to laundering money for a drug trafficking organization and smuggling drug money across the border while working for the Mexican government-owned oil company.

He was arrested over the summer while trying to cross the Anzalduas bridge. Montelongo will be sentenced in January and faces up to 20 years in prison.
