Governor Calls For State Scrutiny Of Pecos Immigrant Overflow Site

Governor Greg Abbott calls for state scrutiny of the immigrant overflow site the federal government has set up in Pecos.

On Monday, the Governor gave charge to the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality to examine conditions at the location to make certain there is potable water and that the general conditions are safe.

The Biden administration plans to house thousands of unaccompanied immigrant minors who seek asylum at the Pecos location.
