A lawsuit challenging Texas’s handgun trespass signs is now being decided by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
A church and a coffee shop claim that posting signs violates their first amendment rights. Their suit argues that they are uncomfortable giving oral notice or handing out written notice to each customer.
The original lawsuit was filed in Houston back in 2020. Oral arguments were heard last month.
