Harlingen Homeless Shelter Offers Housing To Asylum Seekers

A Harlingen homeless shelter now offers assistance to asylum seekers.  The Loaves and Fishes non profit says federal immigration officials are dropping off new mostly Central American asylum seekers every week.  Shelter director Bill Reagan says Harlingen gets the overflow after McAllen and Brownsville.  Reagan says they have helped test the immigrants for COVID-19 among other services.  Eight have tested positive so far.
