Harlingen Homicide Suspect Arraigned

A man charged with killing a Harlingen man last week has been ordered jailed without bond. A judge declined to set a bond after arraigning Jose Isaias Soto Martinez on a charge of murder Tuesday.

Martinez is accused of killing 63-year-old Eric Armstrong in his home on the 1900 block of East Van Buren Avenue a week ago Monday. Harlingen police have not yet said how Armstrong was killed nor why, or if the two men knew each other.
