Texas continues to look for ways to crack down on consumable hemp products. Retail registration fees are poised to go from 150-bucks-a-year to around 20-grand.

Heather Fazio, who heads the Texas Cannabis Policy Center, scoffs at the suggestion that the fee hike will bring in more than 200 million dollars in annual revenue. Most businesses, she says, will simply shutter.
