Hidalgo County Breaks Ground On Drainage Project


Hidalgo County is breaking ground on another project meant to help reduce flooding. A ceremony was held Thursday on what’s being called the Sunflower Drain.

The project is designed to improve drainage north of State Highway 107 in the San Carlos and La Blanca communities. The nearly one-million-dollar project is expected to be finished in about six months.
