Hidalgo County is getting federal funding for an expansion of an important drainage line. The project will add about four-and-a-half miles to the West Main Drain.

The project will begin near the intersection of Highway 107 and Ware Road in McAllen and end near McColl and Schunior roads in Edinburg. The five-point-five-million in federal funding will be used for construction costs related to the project.
