By The Hidalgo school district has selected a finalist for its open superintendent position. J.A. Gonzalez was picked by the school board earlier this week.
Gonzalez has previously held the same position in Harlingen and McAllen. The school system will have to wait 21 days before it can finalize a contract with Gonzalez.
