Plans to build an emergency flood warning system in the Texas Hill Country are ahead of schedule. The goal is to prevent another deadly disaster like the one that hit in July.

Tom Moser, who is leading the effort in Kerr County, says that sensors will send information to a computer system, which will calculate the risk. That, he says, will be coupled to flood warning sirens and local warnings to summer camps and RV parks.
