Houston Cop Critical, Stable Following Shooting

A Houston police officer is critical, but stable following a shooting. Police Chief Troy Finner says the eleven-year veteran was speaking to someone involved in a disturbance when the suspect started shooting.

Finner notes preliminary information shows the officer’s partner was able to capture the suspect on Pines near Loop 494. HPD will be working with Montgomery County prosecutors to probe what happened. It’s not known why the suspect opened fire.
