A Houston pastor is in custody and is accused of sexually abusing a family member throughout a 12-year period.
While it’s not yet clear how the disturbing allegations against him came to light, 39-year-old Robert L. Carter was arrested on Monday after a warrant for his arrest was issued last month.
Carter is charged with continuous sexual assault of a child, and he allegedly abused his victim from age seven to age 19. She reportedly became pregnant with his child when she was 16, but kept the pregnancy secret. Carter is being held on a 200-thousand-dollar bond.
