The Houston Police Officers’ Union is encouraging employees of the Transportation Security Administration to join the HPD.

The partial federal government shutdown has been going on for more than a month, and TSA employees haven’t been paid that whole time. TSA checkpoints at Hobby Airport and Bush Intercontinental have seen long lines of frustrated travelers as TSA screeners call in sick or resign.

The police union invites TSA workers who are looking for “better job security” and “better pay” to join the Houston Police.
