Nearly two-dozen illegal immigrants held against their will are freed in a human smuggling stash house bust.
Yesterday, The Monitor reported that Customs and Border Protection agents raided the house last Thursday after spotting a vehicle with unlawful tinted windows nearby. The house was full of illegal immigrants being held for payment by human traffickers.
The report says 20 immigrants were freed. Rigoberto López Olmos was arrested and faces charges of harboring illegal immigrants. His first appearance in federal court was yesterday.
