Hurd Calls For Expanded Investigation Of Pipeline Hack

Former Texas Congressman Will Hurd says more must be done to investigate the cyber-attack that shut down the Colonial Pipeline. The former CIA agent says he wouldn’t be surprised if Russia was involved, because they’ve done it before.

The pipeline operators reportedly paid millions in ransom to hackers earlier this month. Pipeline operations, which run from Texas to New York, have restarted. Hurd told the “Washington Post” that the feds need to do a better job of hardening the cyber defenses of critical infrastructure.
