Immigration officials are ramping up arrests of people who they say are illegally in the United States.
According to reports from ABC News citing sources familiar with the matter, ten-thousand people have been taken into custody across the country within a five-day span. Sources also noted that ICE has a new goal of arresting at least two-thousand people per day going forward.
The move comes as part of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in which the president has pledged to target the “worst of the worst” criminal offenders among the nation’s migrants.
