Illegal Immigrants Accused Of State Crimes To Be Held In Special Prison Unit


A section of a Texas prison is now converted to be used to house illegal immigrants accused of state crimes. The Briscoe Unit in Dilley is open now for illegal immigrant detainees who face state charges.

The site began taking in detainees last week. So far, most of the offenders are being arrested by county sheriff’s on misdemeanor criminal trespassing charges.
