A rise in illegal immigration at the southern border, which started in July, continues to climb.
Texas border sheriff Thaddeus Cleveland says his deputies have been busy helping the Border Patrol handle large groups that are crossing illegally. There were half-a-dozen over the last three days, he says.
The latest numbers show that Border Patrol made around 84-hundred apprehensions at the southern border in September. That’s nearly double what was done in July.
