Investigators are still looking into a cyberattack on computer systems in the City of Mission. The attack was reported at the end of February.
Mayor Norie Gonzalez Garza said that personal information, such as health and criminal records, was at risk because of the attack. Garza also asked Governor Greg Abbott to issue a state of emergency due to the attack.
The city says most systems affected have been restored, though some data is still being recovered.
