Two leading Israeli human rights organizations are accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. The declaration Monday by B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights marks the first time major Israeli groups have leveled the charge.

B’Tselem’s report pointed to the killing of tens of thousands of Palestinians, the destruction of Palestinian cities, forced displacement of nearly the entire population of Gaza and keeping out food and supplies.
