As of today, Texas is temporarily blocked from removing Planned Parenthood as a Medicaid health care provider.
A state district judge in Travis County issued a 14-day temporary restraining order on Wednesday in response to an emergency lawsuit filed hours earlier. The TRO allows the abortion provider to continue to be included in the state’s Medicaid program.
The judge set a hearing date of February 17th to determine whether a temporary injunction will keep Planned Parenthood in Medicaid.
