A South Texas jury has awarded 80-million dollars to the family of a boy killed last year while riding his bike.
A police investigation found that 17-year-old Alex Castillo was driving without a license when he hit Caleb Ramirez on East Eller Street in Pharr last April.
The jury verdict announced Thursday found that the teen’s family was partially responsible for the crash that killed the eight-year-old. Caleb’s family had originally asked for one-million dollars in damages.
