Kamala Harris’ husband Douglas Emhoff stumps in the Valley for the Harris-Biden 2020 presidential campaign.

Valley Morning Star reports that Emhoff spoke Monday during a Hidalgo County Democratic Party voter registration drive. Due to COVID-19 concerns, event organizers socially distanced 28 chairs for attendees at the Edinburg Memorial Events Center parking lot.

Most of the attendees were state elected officials, district judges, county commissioners along with Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa. Emhoff said there will be more compassion in the government’s dealings with border communities in a Harris-Biden administration.
