L.A. County Health Officials Strongly Recommend Wearing Masks Indoors As Delta Variant Spreads


It’s strongly recommended everyone wear masks when at indoor public spaces in Los Angeles County, regardless of a person’s vaccination status. That’s the word from county public health officials amid concerns about the Delta variant.

The highly contagious strain continues to account for more and more of the region’s new cases. Though the recommendation is a precautionary measure, it’s a shift from the more relaxed guidance that’s been in place since June 15th. From then until yesterday, it was considered fine for people to forgo the mask in most indoor public settings.
