(AP) — Las Vegas police say a landlord argued with his live-in tenants over unpaid rent before a shooting at a small house near downtown Las Vegas killed two women and left a man with nine gunshot wounds.

Police Lt. Ray Spencer said Tuesday that the alleged shooter was a man in his late 70s who surrendered after police found one woman dead outside the pink one-story home and the wounded man coming out the door.

Police found the second woman dead inside the house. Their identities were not immediately made public. The wounded man was hospitalized in critical condition but is expected to survive.
