The attorneys for a former Fort Worth police officer accused in the shooting death of a woman are asking for a change of venue.
Aaron Dean’s lawyers filed a motion on Monday that his murder trial be moved out of Tarrant County. The request claims Dean won’t be able to get a fair trial in the county because of the extensive media coverage of the case.
Dean is accused of killing Atatiana Jefferson at her home in 2019 as he responded to a non-emergency call. A judge is expected to rule on the motion in a hearing on December 6th.
