The famous Louvre Museum in Paris is reopening just three days after 100-million dollars worth of jewels were stolen from the museum in a brazen daylight robbery. Visitors were let back in this morning, though one part of the museum remains closed as authorities continue to search for evidence.
Police say the heist happened early Sunday morning, and the thieves made off with a jeweled crown and a diamond-studded necklace once owned by Napoleon’s wife. France’s interior minister says 100 investigators have been assigned to the case and he has “full confidence” they will find the perpetrators.
