By A Weslaco native is hoping to become Hidalgo County’s next district attorney. Lydia Elizondo announced her candidacy on Wednesday.
Elizondo became an attorney after earning a law degree from St. Mary’s University and started her career working for the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office. She then entered private practice and ran her own law firm.
Elizondo says her focus will be on restoring integrity to the DA’s Office and ensuring justice for all Hidalgo County residents.
