Police in McAllen have arrested a man suspected of transporting a murder suspect into Mexico. Sixty-one-year-old Leonel Perez Delgado was taken into custody on Wednesday at the Hidalgo Port of Entry.
Investigators believe Delgado transported Reynaldo Mata-Rios into Mexico following the shooting death of Mission businessman Eddy Betancourt.
Delgado was arraigned on a charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution and given a 20-thousand-dollar bond.
