A paddleboarder is dead after being pulled from local Gulf waters in Galveston on Saturday afternoon. Crews were called to the scene around 2 p.m. after reports of the man in distress.
Witnesses told investigators that the victim had been paddle boarding for nearly two hours. His name has not yet been released pending the notification of family.
