Police believe a man robbed outside an Edinburg theater last year was targeted because he was wearing an expensive gold chain. The robbery happened outside the AMC Edinburg 18 movie theater on December 15th.
The victim was robbed of a 24-inch gold chain, his brown Gucci shoes and a hoodie. Investigators later discovered that the victim had been set up by a female suspect ahead of the robbery. That led to several arrests, including aggravated robbery and organized criminal activity charges against Phillip Nicholas Couch. The investigation is continuing.
