A Cameron County man charged with killing his mother is taking a plea deal. Officials say Dallas Gilbert agreed to plead guilty to murder for stabbing his mother to death in April 2023.
Primera police say Gilbert also injured his father in the attack, which happened when he was 18 years old. Gilbert was sentenced to 20 years to prison.
