A man has been sentenced for a deadly shooting in Hidalgo County. A jury found 22-year-old Aaron Madrid Cervantes guilty of murder on Tuesday. Investigators said Cervantes was confronted while trying to take some roosters from his uncle’s property in Mission last year.
Fifty-four-year-old Fernando Madrid was shot and killed during an argument with Cervantes. Cervantes was sentenced to life in prison following the verdict.
